My name is Sara Hood, my husband and I are vintage flippers. Our small business is called 'REVIVED'.
Several months ago my kids gave me the idea of flipping furniture after watching a show on HGTV. They have always loved my decorating as well as our ideas of taking great finds and turning them into pieces of art. I decided that if we were going to do this, I was going to jump right in. 'Revived Home' was born. I started selling locally via Craigslist. I committed to some vintage markets, and I did a lot of research on paint, styles and competitors. Our mud room filled up, and started over flowing into my husbands space in the garage. I became excited to get home from my full time day job and paint. I scoured the Internet, estate sales, garage sales, and trash cans for vintage finds. It was like a 6th love (after my girls and my hubby). When I had my first show I was humbled, I sold out. Im slowly on my way... I have met some amazing people (fellow flippers) along the way. I'm excited to see what this summer bring, 4 more shows, and a possible partnership with one of the above ladies, or mavens we call ourselves. No matter what happens. I will have my my best friend by my side. My commitment to mt customers will remain the same, create beautiful, affordable one of a kind pieces.
In this blog, Vintage Visionaries, I will pass along my tips and tricks, show off our beautiful pieces and share a story or two. I promise not to be dull.
